Currently Paul and I are visiting Park City, Utah. We were supposed to drive thru and maybe ski/ride one day on our way to Colorado, but we've decided to stay because the snow (or the "pow") is just too good to pass up, 17 inches in the last 48 hours, www.skiutah.com/winter/snow_report We've been here 3 days now.
Anyway, little did we know the Sun Dance film Festival begins today, too. The locals are bracing themselves for 10 days of Hollywood glam and all that comes with it. The hotels are completely booked up and the bars should be stocked up on their vodka by now. We're making our exit after our 3rd day of hitting more of the fluffy.

My Life List
My work, Federated Media, is running a campaign for Intel where Intel is sponsoring Mighty Girl blogger Maggie Mason's Mighty Life List. About a year ago, Maggie developed her list of 100 things to do before she "goes" and has since then accomplished such things as "swimming with bioluminescent plankton in Puerto Rico" and "taking tap lessons". This campaign has generated a lot of fun talk and inspiration for the people at Intel and Federated Media to come up with a list of 10 items to accomplish in their own lives. Here's my life's to do list before I "kick the bucket". And, oh! I can already strike 2 items off my list!
*Do the Vasaloppet in Sweden (largest x-country ski race)
*Dog mushing in the Yukon
*Stay in Ice Hotel Reykjavik, Iceland
*Drive x-country in a blue VW bus (doin' it this month!)
*Stomp grapes in Italy
*Drink Veuve Clicquot in Reims, France estate
*Kiss French at Eiffel Tower
*Go to disco in Ibiza
*Become a U.S. Citizen (did it 9/09)
*Write a children's book and Swedish cookbook
American

So yesterday I became an American Citizen, 9/09/09. The naturalization ceremony was held in San Francisco with 1,330 people taking the oath of allegiance, all representing 109 countries. It was pretty rad-I got teary eyed a couple times. I could not help but think of my Father, Nils-Olov throughout the ceremony. I felt overwhelming pride for him-so daring to move from Sweden in 1973, 4 children and wife in tow, speaking only text-book English. Although Sweden is a beautiful and very lovely country, it is homogenous and does not provide the same economic opportunity that the U.S. can provide. He made it happen for my family with his unique determination and the stubbornness Swedes are known for, hurah Papa and hurah me!

Ever feel like you don't have the right pair of cute casual (and comfy) shoes? The real question is is it even possible to achieve cute with comfy? And let's admit it, you want to look cute on a Sunday even if your only plan is to stock up on paper towels and TP at Costco. These Adidas Gazelle Ballerinas are just the shoe for running errands. At $50 they are too difficult to turn down for instant street sass. www.shopadidas.com

Must Have Denim

Featured on Cameron Diaz, need to get me 'sum of these Motostreet Skinny Jeans in Speed Wash. The Motorcycle jean is super tough and a nice accessory at $198. I like the way Cameron pairs with a plain longer white T and fitted black waist jacket. The ribbed detailing around the knee is h-o-t. LT's Tip: Wear with Tory Burch ballerina flats or knee-high boots. Order from www.singer22.com
